Author Name: Sourabh Mukherjee
Format: Kindle
No of Pages: 12
Publisher: Srishti Publishers & Distributers (1/10/2018)
Blurb: The blurb of the book is capable enough to make the reader curious about the story; so I am considering it perfect.
Cover: The front cover of the book is not only catching but it is aptly justifying the significance of the story.
Title: The title of the book is catchy enough to pick the book up & it is significant to the story I must say.
Language & narration: Language of the book is lucid & simple enough to comprehend. I have noticed that there’re potentially classy words to ornament the sentences at places that enhanced the flavor or reading. The story is in 3rd person narrative and the visibly descriptive narration of the scenes made the phases clearer to understand for the reader.
Plot: The plot of the book crafted thoughtfully keeping the aspect of a Love series in mind. I’d like to say that, it is actually differently woven plot that it should not be labeled as “Usual Love Story”. This effort from the author needs depth and guts both actually, and from that aspect, I must say that it is much appreciable.
Setting: Setting of this story is in Kolkata.
Characterization: The characters of the story are portrayed clearly and every character is finely justified to their respective roles throughout the book. Name of the characters mentioned in the book are- Arijit Chatterjee, Ashok, Mr. Krishnamurthy aka Kris, Mr. Sarkar, Oindrila, Ayush.
Theme: Life, Relationship.
Content & My Verdict: This book is the 4th book of the anthology named “It’s all about Love” series by the author Sourabh Mukherjee. This short journey of a particular phase needs maturity in thoughts to accept and cherish in a right way; I am glad that I have come across this story. It has tempted me already to check out the next release from the author. Still 3 to go…
This story revolves around a particular day mainly or rather we can say a particular event that beholds the truth of the society and somewhere human mind as well nowadays. This story is all about what we need and what the desire of our heart makes us to do. Have a look-
Arijit Chatterjee was successively fulfilling his role of a Senior Director of Sales in a company named GenX Infotech. The responsibilities of this highly important role used to keep him busy as well. He got to know that a heavily potential and undoubtedly important Client associate named Mr. Krishnamurthy aka Kris will visit Kolkata the next day and one thing was obvious that he had to ‘satisfy’ the needs of this client and make him ‘happy’ as well to crack the big deal which was completely depending on the decision of this person. Arijit was well aware of his duty and made his mind clear about his upcoming work.
According to the plan, Krish was being ‘taken care of’ by all means really well, because Oindrilla didn’t make any mistake to play her role. But, was that the end of what it seemed? Or…someone was yet to put the mask off?
To know these answers, grab your copy of this book and see the truth behind the curtain…
Author Sourabh Mukherjee deserves a heartfelt appreciation and round of applause, even just for putting the efforts in this story to show us the other side of the coin, that too within a very short time frame. The thing is, nothing comes in this life at free of cost. To survive in this rat race of life and to fulfill the desire of heart, it is mandatory to pay the appropriate ‘price’ to achieve. Sometimes, to fulfill their ‘needs’, people need to hide them behind mask. Because it is not possible for them to get everything with the face we are accustomed to see them. Be it the stairs of life or the shades of heart, but ‘mask’ is needed of course. Behind every ‘sophisticated’ life, somewhere deep in their heart, everyone is wearing a ‘mask’ because they need to maintain both the sides of the coin. There is not one Oindrilla, and definitely not one Kris. Well the…bitter truth of life is, we people generally do not even ready to laugh until the Joker puts his mask on…
The different sides of human mentality and tendency, the desire of the heart, the deep ‘ethics’ in way to make ‘profits’, the compromise, the dilemma and ultimately, the reason behind putting on a mask- everything is portrayed evidently inside the pages of the story. I am taking this a ‘mature read’ and I am impressed by the depth in the vision of the author. It has not disappointed me and I am hoping for the same to others as well. I would surely be looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.
Recommendation: I would like to recommend this book to every avid reader because it was not that type of love story that can be predicted easily, so get yourself a different flavor and feel the significance of this small but eye opening truth. Thank you.
Rating (Overall): 5/5 Stars.

Review -
" Masks " by Sourabh Mukherjee is the 4th book of the “It’s all about Love" series, which is also as amazing and heart touching as the previous one stories. The theme of the book is enough to hook my attention towards the novel as I am a romantic fiction lover. Basically the book is very short with a very deep meaning/lesson . Kudos to the author, the way he depicted all the characters in the book Arjit, Ashok, Krishnamurthy/ Kris, Akanksha /Oindrilla.
Well personally I think that I won't be a wrong if I say that the story is nothing but an mirror of today's fast-paced society, where money and numbers matter more than anything else.
Now lets move towards the story,
The story revolves around a particular event which beholds the truth of our society and human mentality also. The story is all about what we need and what our desire makes us to do. Story begins with a phone conversation between Arjit Chatterjee and Ashok the co workers of GenX Infotech, as they discuss the arrival of their employer.
Arijit was a Senior Director of Sales and Ashok was the chairman in that company. By discussion over the phone call he got to know that a important Client associate Mr. Krishnamurthy/ Kris will visit Kolkata the next day and he had to ‘satisfy’ the needs of this client and make him ‘happy’ to crack the big deal which was completely depending on the Kris's decision. Arijit made his mind clear about his upcoming work.
What happened next in the story ? Did Arjit satisfied the need of Kris and crack the deal ? What's the deal all about ?
Well I dont want to ruin the feel of the story by revealing details about this short sweet n extraordinary love story, so to know all the answers af these questions just go and buy the copy of this wonderful story and be the part of the It’s all about Love series.
The title " Masks " is simple , unique and creates a curiosity in the reader's mind and also appropriate for the story ..
On the other hand the cover page of the book is beautiful and catchy, on front side we can see the mask which is used during the party( Theme party ), which covers the real face of the person who is wearing it. .
Language of the book is lucid , simple and easy to understand. Characterization of the story built so well.
