Please understand, reading is not easy for my guys, so I read parts of it and I read the first three chapters alond so the kids could get into the story, but now, I am making them read paragraphs i select aloud with expression and they LOVE doing it. I am not usually a fan of Round Robin instruction and i would NOT try this in a mainstream classroom with struggling readers, because that kind of nerve wracking experience can be very hard on dyslexic kids. I am doing this with very small groups (1-2-3) of students and the dialogue is so rich and familiar that my kids are throwing their acting skills into overdrive. They are in love- as am I.
