4.0 out of 5 stars A magical story of two people bonded to each other since childhood
By nitasha nayak on 11 March 2019
🌼Book Review 🌼
.
🌼The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. .
🌼Genre : Fantasy. .
🌼Storyline :
Q. Did the story have a good beginning?
A. Yes indeed. It was all dark and mysterious.
Q. Was there a lot of action?
A. Yes a lot of it. Magic all over the story.
Q. What was the most exciting moment in the book?
A. When Marco took Celia on a tour of chandresh's house.
Q. What did you think was the most important point or climax of the book?
A. Celia and Marco unhooking the bond.
Q. Did you read the book to the end? Why?
A. Yes. You just can't put it down.
Q. Were you happy with the ending?
A. No. Not at all. I felt as if most of the ending was left upto the reader's imagination abd wanted so much more to happen. All through the book I was expecting a duel but was kinda a talent show. 😞
.
🌼Setting :
Q. When and where is your novel set?
A. If there was a main setting that wasn't the circus, it would be London, where the book starts, and where much happens, like Chandresh's Midnight Dinners.
Q. Were the descriptions good?
A. Oh. They were mesmerizing. Totally magical. .
🌼Characters :
Q. Pick up the main character in the novel you studied.
A. Celia, Marco, Alexander, Hector Bowen, Bailey, Poppet, Widget.
Q. Did you like them? Why and why not?
A. Celia was my most favorite and Marco was my least favorite after what he did to Isobel. But I wanted to so much of the relationship between each of characters and their development.
.
🌼Theme:
Q. If you had to say what the novel was about in one sentence how would you describe it?
A. A magical story of two people bonded to each other since childhood.
.
🌼Language :
Q. Did you find this book easy to read?
A. Parts of it wasn't easy to comprehend as it's a fantasy.
Q. Pick out your favorite description.
A. Life takes us to unexpected places sometimes. The future is never set in stone, remember that.
.
🌼Conclusion :
Q. Who would you recommend this book to?
A. Recommending this to all Harry Potter fans (not that it's equivalent to it but still) and to those who want to start reading fantasy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Damaged book
By Yanisha. D. Pednekar on 8 July 2019
I ordered this books back in May and got to start reading it just recently. So I just flipped through the pages and there are 18 pages missing in between the books. It's so disappointing now to have realized it. Can't return it also now.

The book was delivered on time and in a brand new condition.
About the book itself, when I started of the book , I was wondering why there were soo many good reviews.. though it took time to adjust , but somewhere in between , I just got so immesered in the book , i was really hooked!! It was just very sad that it came to end and I wanted more and more.... It's one of those books which once your adjusted in, then it can really hook you and leave you wanting more !! Absolutely loved the book!! Awesome read. 😍❤️

5.0 out of 5 stars Magical, stunning, atmospheric, thrilling...
By Amritesh Mukherjee on 12 January 2021
"He thinks of a litany of questions but none of them truly matter.

He knows his answer already.

His choice was made when he was ten years old, under a different tree, bound up in acorns and dares and a single white glove.

He will always choose the circus." What is magic?
Deception? Illusions? Sorcery? Witchcraft?
Hard to tell, no?

I believe it can be best described as a mystery... And perhaps it's that mystery which draws us towards itself time to time as we plough through pages of Harry Potter or Narnia, no matter if we're 14, or 40.

And magical, this was, this wonderful, amazing, one hell of a book!

A book set in a world where illusion is magic and magic is illusion, where the circus arrives (without warning, of course!) and where reality and dreams are hard to set apart, this fantasy cum thriller cum romance book is something to be read and savoured by one and all...

Some books provide us knowledge, some much needed relief, some memories, some wisdom...

But once in a while you stumble upon a book, which is not only just one of the above.

Not just a pleasure.

Rather.

A privilege.

This is one of those....
