Nita Desai author, and chef. Originally from a small town in western India, at a young age she moved to California, which she has called home ever since. Her love of cooking began as a young girl watching and helping her mother prepare meals for their large family. Nita has also lived in Malaysia, where she learned to cook Malay, Indonesia, Thai, and Burmese cuisine, and she taught Vegetarian Cooking to expatriates.
