Tom Kerss is an astronomer, astrophotographer, author, public speaker and science communicator, formerly based at the Royal Observatory. An avid stargazer, he is often found chasing dark skies all over the world but he’s passionate about urban astronomy and astrophotography.

Tom is a media expert with numerous radio and TV appearances, as well as written contributions. In his writing, he explores the relationships between people of all ages and the night sky, encouraging readers to connect with the universe they call home.

Tom is the founder of Stargazing✦London, which provides world-class online astronomy courses and events. He is also the creator and host of the podcast Star Signs -an accessible weekly look ahead at what can be found in the night sky all over the world.

This book is a paperback. It's lightweight and won't take up too much space on your bookshelf. It's very
Interesting reading, I've always wanted to visit the Northern lights. This book explains how they work and what causes them. The folklore and myths surrounding them . Historical events etc. There are so many pictures of them from different parts of the world. I would definitely recommend this as an interesting read , I especially liked the photos .
