5.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ Graphic novel for 2021
Reviewed in the United States on 4 March 2021
I am so proud of this book. I can't wait to recommend it to others and to share it with my fellow sisters and brothers in arms! It is not only a thought provoking social
commentary, but a brilliantly written story. I've been waiting for a modern origin story of Nubia to come out since I first learned of her existence in the original Wonder Woman comic but to no avail... until now. Now that I have what I've been waiting for it feels like I can breath again. Such an exciting intro with promise! and I hope there is more to come soon! I'll be looking forward to it! The emotional level is high in the story telling aspect, yet raw and relatable on a teenage level. As an adult I was able to read it and take it seriously all the while understanding the importance of its themes. As a DC fan I'm impressed with the outcome of one of the most anticipated graphic novels of the year(at least for me) . As a stand alone Nudia deserved a series of her own. The fans have waited long enough and this was certainly worth the wait.
