From the Publisher
Q & A with Keshav Aneel
Q1. Who really is Keshav Aneel? Tell us about yourself and what drove you to take up writing?
A1. Keshav: I am all about my dreams, I would say. Other than that, I don’t really think of or give energy to anything except for the people I have in my life. Yes, I can get very emotional at times, and I am someone who is a lot into spirituality and loves being in the mountains. Travelling to all the beautiful places that are peaceful gives me immense joy and I do that very often. Writing has been my passion right from the cradle. I knew I have to do this right from my childhood. Ever since I was sixteen, I was anxious to find a story, scribble it down and see it in print. And now that it has happened, I am happy and I feel really special as my hard work did fructify.
Q2. Your first book Promise Me a Million Times was a confluence of love and aspirations, and the extent to which someone can go to make their dreams come true. Is that a strong idea in your life too, because your writing strongly reflects that?
A2. Keshav: Absolutely! I believe that it’s not we who find dreams, but dreams that find us. And since it’s no coincidence to be chosen by a certain calling, it should be taken as the cause of our being and must be taken care of with every inch of us dedicated towards it.
Q3. Your second book called The One from the Stars has just released. Can you tell us a bit about the story and what makes it special?
A3. Keshav: This particular story, I believe, is in some way or the other connected to every child who comes from a middle class family. This book stands for an unsaid, or very less said emotion of every heart, that despite having all the potential, due to lack of money, has to willingly or unwillingly quit on dreams and take a safer path owing to parental pressure.
Q4. Your book explores relationships and love at various levels. How do you think your book captures the way relationships have changed with change in times?
A4. Keshav: In that regard I have a very straight and simple belief: The principles and test for relationships remain the same throughout. If they don’t, they are not real. Changing times have no influence over them. It’s all about creating a balance and finding a way, that’s it.
Q5. Your book comes with a strong social message, along with some experiences that seem very real. Is this story autobiographical, or inspired by someone you know?
A5. Keshav: To be very honest, this book is sixty percent inspired by someone I personally know. Many of the things, like the dialogues between parents and their son Vishesh, the scenes related to OCD and office stuff, are absolutely real. I wasn’t intentionally blunt while writing them.
Q6. Who would you say is your favorite character in the latest release, and why?
A6. Keshav: It has to be the protagonist Vishesh Raghav. What he went through, not many can walk that path. It takes tremendous courage and will to hold on and keep doing what’s required to be done.
Q7. Both your books are very different from one another. Can we expect another surprise in the near future?
A7. Keshav: It would be too early to commit anything as of now. However, whatever I come up with next, I promise to imbibe a lot of social messages, put down complex ties of relationships and, of course, the benefits of following one’s heart.
Q8. Do you have a message for your readers?
A8. Keshav: Without love and support from you guys, we people are nothing. Feel free to appreciate us, criticize us and demand stories that you would want to read. Also, remember this: we are naturally not that sort that never gives up; it’s all your love that has made us this strong.

The opening of the book itself is so powerful where the author leaves the message to his readers that it gives you a preview of what lies ahead . The author says that
“This book is dedicated to every child from a middle class family who had to quit on his dreams due to lack of money” and true to those powerful words, the entire book completely turns you inside out by the time you finish it and just as i say in my title of this review that no one can finish this book with a dry eye.
I had loved and adored the author’s first book but this was completely unexpected infact i am speechless as to what to say in my review because the book simply moves you and takes you into a zone where you no more know whether its real or still caught up in the world created for you by the author in his book “The one from the Stars”
The best part about the book is that it is not tied to any specific audience. each character and each instance of the book will resonate with everyone no matter what age or background they are from. Its one of those rare books that a child, teenager and parents can all read with the same intensity and still take back a lot of insight and perspective of one’s life. In fact i recommend that every child and parent should read this book. Perhaps a lot can be understood and changed and the book can be a good source for that.
The central character is perfectly crafted and holds the entire soul of the book. Narration is what carries this book to its ultimate destination. The language in its simple words say a lot of heavy things
For me there wasn’t a moment where i couldn’t see it happening or relating to real life or keep my eyes dry. Story of Vishesh is practically everybody’s story. The way the author intensifies and evoke such raw emotions using his characters, its just goes on to absorb you more into it.
You should pick the book if ever you had to give up on your dreams because you had a society to please. You have to pick this book if you love a good story about living life and facing one’s fears. You have to pick this book if you are looking for a book that can jostle you, harass and emotionally drain you yet leave you smiling. Be prepared because the book can be really intense. In short you could never close this book without getting your heart touched emotionally
The story revolves around a graduate student whose dream is to become a 'writer'. But life puts all his dreams and passion into the hardest test called 'persistence'. The lead character Vishesh undergoes a lot of struggle when all those who were everything to him, begins to leave him because of his dream - his parents, friends, and even his lover. This book is sure to bring tears at the end. This one will remain as one of my favorite books.
To the author - "Thank you for offering such a wonderful story. I hope you will write more such wonderful stories which people would never forget in the coming days"
How friendship never die though you're away from your friends, How Passion never fails, How much it costs to follow your heart, Running away never works, it's all about having faith in yourself. Marks don't define person's destiny but their work does. I read this book in one go and trust me I could feel how Vishesh was going through. A plot is designed beautifully with right words at right time. It had everything from Inspiring lines to beautiful poems, Love, friendship, faith, anger, and reunion. A complete package. A super amazing story that I would like to read again.
A must read book with a beautiful message of never giving up on your passion, on your dreams.
Truly Passion Rules us All, Always.
This is a story of main protagonist Vishesh Raghav and his friends and parents. He was born to a middle-class family. He has very little chance of living out his unconventional dream. Being influenced and driven by his family to pursue his chances of a government job, Vishesh tries to live up to their dreams. But it is not easy for him and his support system slowly breaks down. Furthermore, he is diagnosed with OCD. With every turning page the curiosity to read further keeps on increasing. For me the excitement comes at peak when Vishesh Raghav leaves his parents’ home after dropping e-mail to his friends. The dialogue deliveries are perfect and are full of emotions and inspirations. With every turning page the curiosity to read further keeps on increasing. Its a combination of friendship, emotions, dreams, passion and life. Its a inspirational novel for youngsters.
You are the best solution to all your problems…
Have faith, have confidence in yourself, and it’ll be done…
It’s all that you need…
A highly recommended book to be read by each child that is chasing his/her dreams in the most challenging era. A must read also for all the parents who believe that forcing something on a child just for the sake of society and worst past experience can yield no good to the family and their lives.
Overall 4/5 Stars
