About Pixel Ate
We are a mom and dad to five kids, who wrote these Minecraft books as a way to engage kids who have a hard time finding books they enjoy reading. Our son hated reading. He was good at it and did not struggle, but it was a chore. He didn’t get any pleasure from the books, no feelings from the stories. Nothing we could find resonated with him. He would read for his twenty minutes a day then slam the book shut to do something- anything- else.
Until he found Minecraft chapter books. He couldn’t read them fast enough. He would burn through a book in a couple hours and beg for the next. He’d snuggle up in his bed and read all day. We’d have to force him to turn off his light at night and actually get some sleep. It was all he’d talk about around the dinner table. He constantly retold the story, relayed the jokes he couldn’t stop laughing about. He would finish one series and start another. Then another. And another. And from those books, his love of reading was born.
We sat down with our Minecraft loving kids, and with their help started writing books that would resonate with them. We hope our books can do the same for other kids who are struggling to find something they love to read.

Better late than never, Max and Zoe finally get some much needed new secret agent training. Their first task? Enter the game Critter Crossing to bring back something the VGA needs: bug catching nets. But when they enter the game, something else leaves. Oops! It’s just a tiny wasp, though. Not a big problem, right?
WRONG.Tiny wasps grow into giant, angry wasps. Now there are mega video game wasps taking over the city park, and no matter how many they capture, there always seem to be more! Not only are the wasps territorial and sting anyone that gets too close, they are also voracious, breaking into stores and houses to eat all the fruits and veggies.
Can Max and Zoe put a stop to the wasps before it turns into a worldwide catastrophe?
Finally! The Accidental Minecraft Family is home! Well...most of them.
Bruce Lee The Scar-Faced Ninja Attack Kitty from Japan (Who Smells Like Poop) was not in the living room with the rest of his family. His crazy kitty antics had gotten him in all kinds of trouble before, but this could be his stickiest situation yet.
He was still stuck in Minecraft!
As the rest of the family watched him on their TV, chasing chickens no less, with looks of surprise, shock, and maybe a tad bit of annoyance on their faces, Dad answered the door. Could the visitor from the secret organization hold the key to saving Bruce?

Rogue video games. A secret agency to keep the peace. And a couple of kids in suits.
Max and Zoe are totally normal kids. As normal as kids get, anyway. They go to school. They come home and play video games. They put off their chores as long as they can. But all that changes when they’re home alone one evening and Zoe defeats the final boss in a secret game Max was able to crack.Ding dong! The doorbell rings. They know they aren’t allowed to answer the door when their dad’s gone. Every kid knows that. But all rules go out the window when a package is delivered, then shortly after a countdown timer that reads: “This package will disappear in: 10... 9... 8...”
Max and Zoe have to act quickly. With no-one in sight, they throw open the door. The second they rip open the package, they pop out of existence and into the digital world of…
