I'm not going to lie, it's small house publishing. There are more likely to be errors in continuity, etc, but they did a fair job of addressing those.
The story itself is a continuation of "Out in the Wild", and "A Place Called Hope". Evil bad men and women create a nanotech, self propagating virus that would turn people into zombies, and allow the Earth to rebuild itself. They handle it well, and I didn't find Deus ex Machina to be heavy handed or the like.
The author keeps jargon under control, which makes it more palatable to the civilian, I suspect. I appreciated it even with my thin military background.
It's a great book. It's a fun series. With every penny, I would say, most of all.
If you like the Zombie Apocalypse genre, give it a read!
It's a great read, lots of action. There were some interesting subplots in the second book that didn't carry over, but I think they would have slowed the story down. The characters from the first two books are back, determined to defeat the zombies. You don't have the same feeling of danger and doom as in the previous books, but it's a fun ride. Clive Cussler should buy a copy to remind him of what he was capable of before he got lazy.
Get the trilogy, read them all, you will thank me for it.
Eight more words required. Stupid. Stupid. Amazon creature.
