Alot of research is usually out into any book to deliver the right kind of information. I have read quite a many books and every book offers a different perspective. But it is theoretical. But what about after gaining that knowledge? How do you use it practically?
power of moments, teaches you more of practical usage of concepts which should ideally be the aim of every author, to teach the readers to be able to use the knowledge practically. This is by far the best book I have read. Every concept is jumping out from the book, getting right into your mind so that you know exactly how to use it in real life.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, even ceos and young millennials who wish to achieve success by being creative in their respective fields, this book is a must read. It teaches you how to think. And not merely learn.
The Power of Moments — Why Certain Experiences Have Extraordinary Impact is a fantastic book. Like their previous books, Chip and Dan Heath are able to bring out the concept so well and also present it in a manner that the message ‘sticks’.
What I liked about the book most are the practical takeaways. Like the previous books, the lessons of the book are about simple adjustments in your life that can have a massive impact. And, as a professional, there is a strong connection for everyday situations quoted by Heath brothers. Finally, I loved that there were so many examples from India in the book.
Overall I loved and adored the book. There were several lessons and a key theme which stuck with me. However, it wasn’t the best of Chip and Dan Heath. Unlike the kidney story in Made to Stick or the concepts in Switch, there is no main highlight. The progression of insight with every page was low as well. Despite that, definitely a good investment of time. I will go with 4 out of 5 stars.

Anyone can summarise the importance of defining moments and the way in which to create these moments in a few pages. So it is a difficult task to keep the reader engrossed and glued to the power. For this purpose, the authors dedicate a majority of the book into four section corresponding to the four elements which create moments. At the end of each section, there is a summary and a clinic. You can use the former as a cheat sheet while the latter gives you a scenario to practice. Moreover, each of these sections has numerous examples taken from individuals and companies.
You can finish the book on a long haul flight. That is how simple and engaging the book is. All of us know the power of moments as we all have experienced it. But we may struggle with creating those moments for others. It is here the books helps us. We can use these principles and hacks in both our personal and professional life.
The authors offer stimulating ideas on how to create them with a good use of anecdotes and examples, and a clearly articulated rationale.
Whether it is for colleagues or customers, family or friends - this book inspires the reader to look to create memories and experiences that will stick in the mind and further inspire others to design more of the same.
A memorable and inspirational read.
A book that truly gives you a fresh perspective on how to live a good life and the practical ideas to take action.
I'd recommend this in particular to people who are feeling the challenge of day to day routines . This book will help you shake things up.
