Product description

Review

“For anyone who is familiar with the author's previous works, the book meets all expectations, for Amish bends it better than Beckham” - scroll.in

”Overall, Scion of Ikshvaku is a fast-paced, action-packed retelling of the Ramayana. I look forward to the next volume in the series” – Daily O

Like the Shiva trilogy, this again is not a retelling, but rather a complete re-imagining of the original story using the same characters but with fresh perspectives and modern sensibilities” – New Indian Express --This text refers to the paperback edition.

About the Author

Amish is a 1974-born, IIM (Kolkata)-educated, boring banker turned happy author. The success of his debut book, The Immortals of Meluha (Book 1 of the Shiva Trilogy), encouraged him to give up a fourteen-year-old career in financial services to focus on writing. He is passionate about history, mythology and philosophy, finding beauty and meaning in all world religions. Amish’s books have sold more than 5.5 million copies and have been translated into over 19 languages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raam.. Raam.. Raam..
By Srikrishnan H on 14 September 2018
I like puranic/mythological stories a lot. I used to listen/watch mythological stories through television and through stories narrated by my loving mother.... But, when I read this, I feel a little different from what I heard. That's because, I am reading the missing links too. The inner/deeper notes. Feeling a different point of view from what I have heard and saw... It changed my perception in this... I can't stop reading till it is finished.

AMISH sir... You are too good in this mythological areas... Thank you so much for this and keep writing....

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap reprint
By Vasim Shaikh on 7 October 2019
Although the story is good but the print of the book is not good.
This book is not the original print. It’s a cheap reprint.
The pages are not printed in alignment. The bottom edge is cut off.
It is a copy that is sold on the roadside for far less price.
