The second issue is that it is showing undervolt symbol ( a yellow lightning bolt like symbol that appears on top left corner) when I connected it with a VGA monitor using HDMI Male to VGA Female Cable. I connected the same RPI directly to a TV with HDMI port and I did not see the thunderbolt symbol.I haven't tried it yet, but I think that it can be solved by using the official power supply.
For the people who want to know about which peripherals to buy, I am giving a list of things that I have used except the power adaptor:
HDMI cable: AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable http://amzn.in/bVwi7qP
HDMI Male to VGA Female converter: RTS HDMI Male to VGA Female Cable with Audio http://amzn.in/0Jak7Wv
Memory Card: Samsung EVO Plus Grade 1, Class 10 32GB MicroSDHC 95 MB/S Memory Card with SD Adapter http://amzn.in/gunnQw9
Case: Raspberry Pi 3 Official Case - Black/Greyhttp://amzn.in/8GyzyNa
Keyboard and mouse: iball keyboard & mouse. Logitech Wifi Keyboard mouse combo also works.
First time I buy from amazon and product goes kaput within the warranty span of 1 year.
Contacted element14 which say to contact the seller. Contacted IONIQ "Recommended seller" who after multiple exchanges of messages says to contact manufacturer.
Contacted Amazon who are still working on the issue.
All in all poor state of affairs. Better to buy at a bit extra price but directly from element14, beacuse in case of any issues atleast the will RMA the product.
I have been using it for like three months and there some things u should be careful of:
1. Don’t use it to play videos
2. Don’t use it to play online with two or more players
If you do the above listed things, you’re Raspberry Pi B will heat up, causing it to malfunction.
And make sure you have the accessories.
I bought this product during the sale with a servo motors combo pack and got a very best deal at amazon with a return period trust.
The product perfectly fine as after buying one of my friends pointed out that this model had some wifi connectivity issues which made me worried for a time but my unit didn't have that issue.
If you are purchasing the product for a robotic arm, google assistant, or any other project you can go for it as amazon gives a 10-day return policy which ensures budget tolerable.
As being engineers there are chances when we can order wrong items and the product doesn't juice up our requirement.
As it happened to us because when we wanted to give the power source to our arm and bought a battery for the same. It was working in the store and when we reached our college it was a dead rat. We lost 250/- on the annoying battery but being beginners these types of errors can be neglected but because of Amazon, there was so much help that we were able to control the budget of the major project which made it possible.
But this isn't the end we will make new projects to our heart

I'm comfortable with computers but I'm not a coder or engineer. This is our 3rd Pi (we have a Pi 2 and a Zero) I feel that the Pi Model B has reached a nice balance with this iteration - Out of the box, there's little you are likely to need to get going - Wifi and Bluetooth add huge functionality and simplicity, freeing up a USB port. The increased processor power is always welcome, too.
One thing I would advise for beginners is to get the official Pi 3 power supply as the demands of the Pi 3 are slightly higher than that of the Pi 2 and I have seen reports of problems when it is under powered.
At the price, it's crazy how much computer you get for your money; and what you can learn to do with it, and that's the real point of these computers - yes you could use it as your main computer for day to day desktop tasks if you really wanted to, but it gets you closer to the 'metal' bringing the relationship between you and the machine to a point where you can bend it to your will once you've started learning how to. Children love learning to code with scratch and that is only the beginning.
Create a retro arcade machine, automate your home, or even turn it into a single use computer which waters the plants automatically. The possibilities are honestly endless.
Read up on it, buy one and have a go. Even if you only learn some principles, it helps to demystify the world of computing and greater understanding of software in particular is an essential tool for the future.
Atari, Amstrad, Lynx, Spectrum, NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Master System, PSX, Dreamcast, PSP, Neo-Geo, MAME, FBA Libretro, Game Boy, Game Gear... y mas que no recuerdo ahora.
Olvidate de la NES mini que ha sacado Nintendo, esto es mas barato y le puedes meter manteca de la buena.
The performance is amazing on this tiny thing!
I am not commenting on the price by this seller. Yes it's over MSRP, but that's the price for getting it overnight vs standing in line and not getting one because it's sold out. This is just a review of the product itself.
The measurements are identical to the Raspberry Pi 2, which is great since all of your accessories will work perfectly. The RPi 3 includes the same 40-pin GPIO header which allows for extensions into the real world. Blinking lights, motors, talking robots, etc. Same CSI and DSI interfaces to enable camera and display modules.
Same as RPi 2, it includes an HDMI out to view on a TV or computer monitor. But it can easily be set up as headless (no display).
The 802.11a/g/n is provided by the BCM43438 chip, which also provides Bluetooth 4.1 capability.
IMPORTANT! Keep in mind to get things running you’ll three things 1) a microSD card (8GB or larger; class 10) 2) a computer to flash the linux operating system into the microSD 3) a USB keyboard+mouse 4) 2amp micro USB power supply.
Performance is killer on this thing. Booting is incredibly fast and I can’t wait to overclock this little desert. It runs at 1.2GHz (64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex A53). It boots faster, it runs faster, it responds faster.
With the integrated WiFi + Bluetooth, you no longer need a USB hub for all your devices. A bluetooth keyboard/mouse will not take RPi 3’s precious USB ports. You’ll have them open for any peripheral you wish, hard drives, microphones, printers, etc.
Quality of build
Easy of use (assuming you’re techie)
WiFi + BLE support
Much faster processing
The wishful thinking Wish the micro SD card was spring loaded
Wish it had more on-board LEDs for debugging.
Product arrived on time, undamaged and looking as described, nothing to add there.
Now, I bought this for a bit of nostalgia to throw RetroPie on it mainly and run some good ol' childhood games with friends, or alone, you know, it's cool. If you plan on doing the same I recommend in the settings to up the VRAM to 200-250 TOPS and get heat sinks. If you have a fan case too, perfect, you have the classic case, take the top bit off when working it for airflow release. So far no crashes, no glitches, no bugs, easy setup, works out of the box. Happy customer.
Now I'm gonna go play Rick Dangerous and complain about the unfair traps and deaths.
