My biggest bone to pick is the author's clear bias concerning Christianity. He actually writes "we" when discussing Christians, as if everyone reading the book is a Christian. Here a few quotes that made me stop reading this altogether (I had read about 20% of the book when I spotted these in the last chapter):
"views are offered regarding [Christianity's] essential nature, which the writer believes to be so firmly founded in fact that even those who are not Christians cannot deny them..."
"in maintaining Christianity as at first preached....lies the hope of the future of mankind"
Nevermind these quotes, the worst is when he talks about the religions of China, which he claims are underdeveloped before dismissing them altogether.
Don't bother with this book. A complete waste of time.
