To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I purchased this for myself. I am 40 now, and have developed fine lines and wrinkles. I purchased this based on many positive reviews. I have used it religiously, every night, for a few weeks now and have really seen no difference. It does tinkle a little bit when applied, but that has eased as the directions stated it would. I will continue using it, to see if more continued use makes any difference. Frankly, though, as we age, we get wrinkled. Years of just being alive and spending time in the sun, laughing, frowning...everything. Most likely, no lotion or potion will make a real significant difference. Something more invasive such as Botox or surgery may---but even those measures are temporary. So, ultimately, this product may or may not make a difference with wrinkles. Some say yes, others no. If it makes you feel better when you look in the mirror, by all means. Just don't expect any miracles. As far as price, it is a good value when compared to similar products. I will use it until it is gone.
I'm in my early thirties with fair, dry skin. I noticed some fine lines on my forehead a few years ago and started using this to combat these and to prevent fine lines in other areas. I went with the Roc deep wrinkle night cream because it was so cost effective for having the percentage of retinol that it does. Because of the great reviews for this product I had high hopes, but I just can't see that its been effective in minimizing the lines on my forehead, despite going through almost 2 tubes already. I have noticed that my skin is smoother after using, so the retinol is doing something. I think I will probably continue to use this as a preventative, and to keep getting smooth skin. For the price, it lasts a pretty ling time so it's not a hugely expensive step to add to my skin care routine even if it doesn't provide immediate benefits.
I just started using this a few days ago. The eye cream is very harsh. I have been putting it on before bedtime and it is peeling the skin off. I'm going to give that a rest for a while and then maybe try it again but put on a neutral moisturizer first and maybe use it every other night. The face cream is nice but it has a very strong scent, not unpleasant but perfume-y. I think the face cream is working nicely but it stings if I put it on right after I wash my face at night so I have to wait a bit before applying it.
There is no real cure to aging. This product did help with my crow's feet. I was starting to develop them. I use this product and I can see that they are decreasing. Aging is aging but whatever product I can use to help do it gracefully. I try. I would recommend this product if you're looking to buy inexpensive retinol product. It works for the price.
I purchased this product because it seemed like a bargain to get the eye cream along with the night cream, however my box was lacking the eye cream upon opening. I love the eye cream and had good results using it since November of 2018 which is why I ordered this duo. I am seeing a more radiant skin tone using the night cream. But for the missing eye cream in my package, I'd give 5 stars.
I’m not sure this is the real deal. My other Roc retinol has always come out a slightly yellow color and had a distinct but non-perfume smell. This one has the feel of a moisturizer, comes out white and has a perfume scent to it. As for results, it’s hard to say but I won’t be purchasing again.
I can’t honestly rate the effectiveness of this face cream set because my skin becomes red and irritated after second use. I began using in summer time during sunburn & camping season. I will try again when hit summer sunshine won’t interfere with this product. I think I’ll be able to better tolerate this product when my face won’t be exposed to the hit California sunshine.
