A book to re-read
Reviewed in India on 30 July 2020
Ruskin Bond is an artist...it's just that he uses words instead of the brush to paint the most vivid imagery. He often delves on the mundane scenes from everyday and makes them feel so special. I will mark this book for re-read. Bond's travels through the Garhwal highlands, his narration of the majestic beauty of the Himalayan valleys where from rises and flows the great river Ganga, the mysticism of this region ...it is truly surreal stuff. It leaves us romanticising the splendour of this region!
