Product description
Review
Rabbit can't read it all yet, but she definitely finds the new version more approachable and I think the series will be really useful to her as her reading skills develop. And Tiddler was keen to read it too. At first he had a look and said, "Hmm, I don't know all the words...", but then he decided not to let that stop him and sat happily reading the story to himself for several minutes. ― Caterpillar Tales Published On: 2013-11-04

From the writers of The Gruffalo & The Gruffalo's Child, this book is yet another gem that any young book lover would love. The story is really nice and written in lines that are very catchy that my 2-year-old little one has it memorized the whole thing already. It is a little long, but not boring at all. The pages are of amazing quality and the illustrations and colours just make you fall in love with the book at first sight. A must buy! :)

I am a Julia Donaldson fan!!! More than my daughter I hoard her books in the small library we have created together!! It goes without saying this book is just beautifully written like the others with simple sentence structure.. Rhyming fun and lovely story!! Her concepts are unique and always touch the heart!! My daughter is 4.5 and now she has started to identify the moral of the story herself after the reading!! Beautiful moral of sticking and helping each other is prominent. And the illustrations are just awesome!! I love this book and recommend it to all 2.5 to 7year olds.

My son is a fan of Julia Donaldson books. It was purchased on his repeated request. I showed him the movie on Amazon Prime but he started requesting for the book also.
My son is an avid listener (he is about to turn 4) and yet to begin reading. I found it to be a good collectible for his little library. Happy with the purchase.

I am a big fan of this book along with my 4 year old daughter. This story is about a witch who goes around on her broom along with her cat. And eventually, a dog, a bird and a frog joins them on the broom. It's a funny story which catches the child's attention through every line of it. Very nicely illustrated with rhyming words and catchy pictures. My daughter insisted me to read this out to her 3 times in 1 day! It's now 1st in her favorite list :)

The book is superb - quality, print and story wise. My 4yr old boy just loved it everytime I said 'is there a room on the broom" ... Haha. It's become one of his favourite bed time Stories!

I bought this for my 18 month old baby who loves books. The book has too much text in it for him so i've kept it for later. But the story is so amazing that i cant wait for him to understand it. The quality of the book is first class and it will surely become any child's favourite book.

Imprescindible
Reviewed in Spain on 22 February 2018Verified Purchase

American version, not the UK version
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2020Verified Purchase
I was sent the American version which makes some changes to the wording versus the UK version. For example, instead of talking about “witch and chips” the dragon talks about french fries; it doesn’t flow quite as well. There are quite a few wording changes.
The story is lovely, and the video is free on the BBC - but that uses the UK wording.
It needs to be clear in the description that this isn’t the UK version.

Attenzione all'edizione
Reviewed in Italy on 1 August 2018Verified Purchase

Just buy when it says Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler together on a book!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 August 2015Verified Purchase
I bought this along with 11 other Julia Donaldson Books(All Board Books). I did a lot of research before buying and building my 15 month old daughters first library along with Van Fleet, Eric Carle, Dr Suess etc. At first it was all about pictures then sounds then role play and now its the story in 12-13 months she has grown with these books and loves anything we introduce now. Each book has a 12-14 page story which gives you abundance of opportunity to spend quality time with your little one. Reading is just one of the things you can do with these. They are illustrated so very well with vibrant colours and end to end pictures that you have so much to explore if you introduce reading really young. I have copied some of the illustrations on to a A4 sheet given my daughter to color. Just buy when it says Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler together on a book.
