Review

Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler have come up with another gem . . . We loved it., Independent

About the Author

Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide, and the hugely successful What the Ladybird Heard adventures. Julia also writes fiction, including the Princess Mirror-Belle books illustrated by Lydia Monks, as well as poems, plays and songs – and her brilliant live shows are always in demand. She was the UK Children’s Laureate 2011-13 and has been honoured with a CBE for Services to Literature. Julia and her husband Malcolm divide their time between West Sussex and Edinburgh.

Axel Scheffler is a star illustrator whose instantly recognizable, warm and witty illustrations have achieved worldwide acclaim and numerous awards. Axel is the illustrator of wonderful novelty, gift and poetry books for Macmillan, such as Fish Who Dream of Trees (Two Hoots) and the bestselling The Bedtime Bear, The Tickle Book and Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes – and of course, he is the illustrator of some of the world's best-loved picture books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide. Axel’s artwork is exhibited internationally; he has illustrated for many charities and designed the Royal Mail Christmas stamps in 2012. Born in Hamburg, Axel now lives with his family in London.

5.0 out of 5 stars WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU INVEST... Very Delighted!!
By Anchal T. on 18 April 2021
Just buy it... Julia Donaldson... the name is enough.

- The book is sturdy with a total 24 pages; mine is a BOARD BOOK.
- The pictures are clear, crisp, apt in size, and colourful.
- The English used is easy to read and understand and rhymes excellently for toddlers and early learners.
- 100% value for money!
- If you check my video, the book is very handy and perfect in size (neither too big nor too small) for children.
I am surely buying all the Julia Donaldson books for my daughter who is 19 months old. I is all worth the price and the investment that you make on this author and her books.

Wonderful!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Such an amazing book!!!
By Anj on 11 December 2020
The book is superb - quality, print and story wise. My 4yr old boy just loved it everytime I said 'is there a room on the broom" ... Haha. It's become one of his favourite bed time Stories!

Thanks to the seller and Amazon for ensuring the book was delivered in a good condition.

Bought the board book after our toddler got overexcited and ripped his paperback. Love this story (we now know it off by heart) and the BBC animation but the board book has been changed in a few places for an American audience. First world problem I know but it just isn’t the same!
