People have changed, no one cares about anyone. If someone is suffering then let them suffer. They can help but choose to ignore that situation.

True relationships are buried underneath, the weight of a few pieces of paper.

Emotions have left their way and made humans disregardful.

Silent Scars is a compilation of short stories that share the scars which are left in our hearts. No one can see it or understand the pain. It's the person who is going to suffer. They can't share it or forget it. Kevin and Betty have a happy family with their son, playing and cheering and at the next moment their son is gone.
People are there but didn't help them. They lost their son. The family whom we think the strongest bond left at the time of need.

The stories are so heartwarming and painful. Some stories are so emotional and much more painful than physical pain. The struggle seems so raw and real that I couldn't stop weeping at some point. I couldn't think how painful it would be if someone from us would be in that situation. The cover is really scary and so true, the tear in the eyes and pain in the heart portrays the deep emotion buried under the pain. very very emotional and heart-wrenching story.

The book contains 10 interesting and realistic stories that will make you do a reality check on your life. It is admirable how the author has written these lovely tales with hidden meanings. You can experience both bitter and sweet flavours in life. And when we experience difficult times in our life, we struggle and leave behind unseen wounds.

Even though all of the stories are lovely, I particularly like the sentence "Family is a term that has strength in itself," which expresses how they all have one other's backs. The message conveyed in these verses themselves is described. The author used straightforward language to make his audience face reality.

The best part of this book is that, Analysis is provided at the conclusion of practically every story, and which is quite helpful in determining how we should approach life.

Though I have read a few books by Niraja Bandi all of them were nonfiction and I wasn't sure about her fictional approach. To be honest, it was that curiosity that made me pick up the book without a second thought. And I must admit, she simply stunned me with her work. Yes, I used to admire her for her nonfiction books but now she has proved that even fictions go well with her. However, here too, she has kept her trademark intact as all of the stories are deep with strong messages. Also, she has maintained her unique narrative style.

Overall, let me tell you, no matter whether you are a fiction or nonfiction lover, you will definitely love this book, as it is quite engaging as a fictional read and thoughtful as a nonfiction.
