Product description

Safe is the complete and concentrated dry conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Safe removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Safe converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank's bio filter. Safe may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Safe detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio filter to more efficiently remove them. Safe is non-acidic and will not impact ph. Safe will not over activate skimmers. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for large or multiple aquariums

I have three tanks and have used Prime and other liquid conditioners. Safe is just simply better value. For a similar price, Prime treats 5,000 gallons and Safe treats 60,000 gallons. As far as I can tell, there is no difference in the effectiveness of the products. I would strongly suggest buying dash, pinch, smidgen spoons (about £4 on amazon) as then you can consistently measure the tiny amounts needed such as a sixteenth of a teaspoon for 300l.
