About Shalini Ranjan
Shalini Ranjan developed a passion for writing during her teens. An ardent science fiction reader herself, she has a flair for writing stories with a twist. She is lucky to be married to the man of her dreams whom she met on a train while pursuing her MBA from MICA. She works as a Consultant with the one of the Big 4s and when she is not giving wings to her imagination, she indulges in playing make-believe superheroes chasing down villains with her two munchkins. Shalini firmly believes that if you set your mind to anything, you can achieve it.
In today’s world, where everyone is stressed out and is looking for an escape from their present reality, Shalini can transport them to a completely different world through her work of fiction. 'If I hadn't met you' is Shalini's first published book, although she has been writing fiction for more than a decade. Her work has been appreciated in HT (Hindustan Times) Teens when she used to write as a teen. She has a huge fan base in Indiaforums.com where she writes under the alias of TwisterGirl. Excerpts from the Foreword
"It is a beautifully written book that goes deep into the psyche of a seemingly normal young girl who has a strange ability and a secret that will dictate her entire life.
Shalini doesn't rush with the narrative and is never in a hurry to show all her cards at once. She takes her time, allows the reader to meditate on the complexities of her characters, lets their inner turmoil and conflicts play out, and then gradually, like a very fine operatic piece, takes the narrative to its crescendo."
