Product description

From the Inside Flap

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-?openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: If he doesn't play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone's business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he's been emailing with, will be jeopardized.

With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon's junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he's pushed out--without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he's never met.

4.0 out of 5 stars Most beautiful and cutest YA I have ever read!!!
By Aniket on 25 October 2017
Simon Spier is struggling with his closeted sexuality and secret online boyfriend as well as myriad of all the trials and tribulations that came with the territory of being teenage high school student.
when classmate discovers his secret life as Simon knows it suddenly become whole lot harder to navigate.

I loved Simon his family, friends and the mysterious 'Blue'.
I was so curious to find out his identity and after the revelation it was also believable, real and adorable that I loved every second.

This is such a touching story about family, friendship and finding yourself.
Becky Albertalli has written one of the most electric, authentic characters I have ever read.
It's easy to fall in love with Simon Spier and experience life through his eyes in this outstanding story.
you will find yourself rooting for him and feel the tightness within his group of friends.
Plotwise it was a simple yet different and perfectly placed to make a breeziest and most pleasant reading experience I could have asked for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable
By Aishwarya rathor on 24 October 2018
I absolutely adore Simon.
My favourite part of the book is the mails between Simon and Blue.
A quick rewind,
The book is about a high school boy named, Simon. He is cute and a real person. He discovers that he is gay and doesn't want the world to know about it.
He finds Blue and their are constant mail exchange between them. But one day, Martin, reads their mails and blackmails Simon that his secret will be revealed if he doesnt help him.
After that, the whole story takes a turn and tries to stop Martin and soo on.
This is my favourite young adult book till now.
