I can write and write pages of appreciation on Andaleeb. Having read every single book that she has penned, am proud to call myself a big fan of her. (Am sure there are thousands of fan like me, but for me, Andaleeb is the best!). Therefore you may find this review a little too over-board; sorry, i can't help pouring it out.
I am in totally in love with Umar. I want to believe that he exists and i hope to find him once before i die.
His character is earthly - not superhero kinds, but the real man, with some ego. He is shown to be envious of his younger brother's initially. What i loved about him, is how he changes his attitude about Shireen and accepts that he is smitten by her. He shows no remorse in admitting his flaws... where can you find such men? My answer is only in Andaleeb's stories.
Shireen's navel is indeed tantalizing and now am trying to find a place where i can get this done, and yes, i am searching online if i can find the peachy, fruity shampoo... all in the quest to find Umar!

Umar and Shireen are polar opposites. And of course opposites attract. Uzair's older brother and Naima's best friend have nothing in common and yet cannot help being drawn to each other. When Shireen's landlord announces that he's demolishing the building where she stays, she has no recourse but to stay at her friend Naima's house until she can find a place for herself. Enter brooding and judgy Umar who is Uzair's older brother, who is in Bangalore for an interview. He riles Shireen in the worst way and yet she cannot stop thinking about him when he leaves. But what is she going to do when she learns that he has got a job in Bangalore? He's going to move to his brother's house till he finds a place. Will Umar and Shireen put aside the differences between them and explore what they can possibly have with each other? Smitten by You is the third book in the Destination Wedding Series by Andaleeb Wajid, author of More than Just Biryani, The Crunch Factor, Twenty Nine Going on Thirty, Asmara's Summer, House of Screams, Jasmine Villa Series and several others. Although this a standalone romance, it's better to read the series in order to understand the journey of the characters. Read One Way to Love and Remembering You to enjoy this book more!

Shireen and Umer’s relationship started from a molten lava type hating each other state and then what happens next? The opening scene of the story starts with introducing the protagonist Shireen stuck in a professional mishap. After unfolding the supporting characters of the story, the author beautifully brings along our hero Umar.As the feelings of the lead characters are unfolded to the readers their intimacy keeps growing along with it. Smitten by You has a wonderful pool of relationships inside it with Lovey-dovey couple Naima and Uzair, BFFs Shireen and Naima, and the hate-cum-love affair of Shireen and Umar.It is a complete package of entertainment that is sure to make a grand hit among the romantic genre loving readers. It is a leisure read that is unputdownable because it has the power to keep the reader glued till the end.Through Smitten by You, I happen to picture vividly a pretty girl Shireen falling in love with a handsome guy Umar. Read it yourself, and I bet your heart will start beating again for the first love of your life.

"Smitten By You" is the 3rd book in the destination wedding series. Andaleeb wajid is one of the best storyteller. The narration of each of her character is unique and diplomatic. Umar is a male protagonist he is soft and realistic. Shireen is a girl who want to live her life as her wish. When these two meets what will happen is the rest of the story . Initially they hate each other 😡 once the story progress hate turns to love. We can feel the intense romance , emotions and cry between these two pair. Finally you will never regret 😉 for reading andaleeb wajid book.

I was waiting for this book ever since I finished the second book in the series: Remembering You - Kimmy & Khalil's story, which introduced us to the first meeting of Shireen and Umar.
The characters are realistic as they are flawed. Both Umar and Shireen have insecurities and their being opposites makes the story all the more interesting. The author has presented the feelings of both the characters in such a way that I could not decide who my favourite is. Sometimes, I would feel Umar was over reacting and sometimes, Shireen. The characters from the previous books appear off and on in the story and it is natural that the characters from the first book of the series, It Was Always You - Uzair & Naima, have a part to play given that Umar is Uzair’s brother. The close relationship between Shireen and Naima and the somewhat stilted relationship between Umar and Uzair has been portrayed well. I loved how the brothers covered each other. The relationship between Shireen and her parents and that between Umar and his parents has been realistically depicted. The characters, their appearances and the scenes have been described in detail.
This story is not just about love, it is about friendship, sibling love, understanding, parental authority and parental understanding. The story has been written well but somewhere I felt it was getting a bit stretched, but then it picked up pace and I just could not keep it down.
Though this book has been written in such a way that it can be read as a standalone, but reading the previous two books in the series will make this more interesting. The author has also given hints as to whose story comes up next, and now I am waiting for it.

I love reading all the books of a complete series at once because then you do not loose track of the characters. In this 3rd book it was lovely following the unfolding of Shireen and Umar's love story. Yet another lovely HEA.
