Something for the Weekend is a hugely successful Sunday morning BBC series; a cookery-come-chat show hosted by Tim Lovejoy and top chef Simon Rimmer. In this, the first cookbook from the series, they have taken 60 recipes from the show's most popular feature to create the ultimate cookery book of laid back brunch meals. Chapters include recipes for all occasions, whether you're slumped on the sofa with the hangover from hell or you've got the in-laws round and want to make a good impression, or perhaps entertaining someone special. Dishes include Tim's favourite 'service station' Scotch Eggs and Sausage Rolls as well as Blueberry Pancakes, Mushroom and Parmesan Torte, Meat Feast Calzone and Tomato and Mozzarella Cakes. Whether you're craving carbs, fancy something sweet or feel like a healthy start to the day, Tim and Simon make it effortlessly easy to cook up something delicious.

Not worth the effort to purchase.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 December 2015
Being a fairly regular member of the 'Sunday Brunch ' channel 4 programme I was intrigued to see Rimmers books and ordered 3 from Amazon. I understand that this is an old publication and the copy and style is of another period but I was a little disappointed with the content. Nothing grabbed me and made me want to get into the kitchen. All three went straight to my local charity shop.

Love the show and cooking. Recipes are aimed at the beginner. Simple steps. Nice snack section title "beer with the boys". Good stuff.
