Well I guess this author does this in every series she writes. She took one of the characters that you fall in love with and hope for happiness and destroys them. I almost did not finish this book. In fact, this is the second series of this author that she has done this, she made the characters so evil in another story’s second book, I gave up on the series completely. But back to this one, I just don’t know what to say, he deserved a better book, and the loss in the book is very abrupt and I kept hoping for a happy ending - but nope. Hunter deserved a better story. And not just in this book, the final book did not end on a satisfactory note. I really loved the boys in these books. But I kind of wish I never read the series.
I really like this series. Although, I do have to say this one wasn't my favorite. I felt that Hunter cried way too much, he didn't handle things well. I mean he definitely had a rough go, but he cried so much. I liked the development of the whole storyline, just not sure how I feel about Hunter. I did feel bad for him and wanted him and Kate to be happy. And what the heck was up with the ending with Kate, didn't like that one bit.
Enjoyable but I felt the author dragged out the storyline. There were several plot points that were only thinly developed and didn't really go anywhere. The conclusion makes it more than obvious further volumes are planned.
