I'm a big fan of Toyo products. The old saying of 'You keep the water and the fish will keep themselves' holds true with feeding as well. Quality fish food grows quality fish, but more importantly to me, it also keeps the water clean. I have kept koi for a long time and often feed Toyo food. This time around, I have some minnows that I use for fishing and believe it or not, I wanted to breed them so I can quit donating my money to the bait shop. There are few micro pellet manufacturers out there and I prefer a pellet to a flake as I think they hold up in the water better and even a minnow can fit these pellets in their mouth without a problem.
The feed is partially floating and partially slow sinking. This is great, especially for any shy feeding fish you have. I have some fish that wait for it to hit the bottom of the tank and others that go right for the top floating food. I don't see any cloudy water after feeding and no oil slicks on the surface. I'm fairly certain that minnows aren't picky eaters, but they sure love this stuff. You get what you pay for!
