In today's agile and competitive world, it is not sufficient to hire few professionals who are capable of innovating. Innovation should be part of the work culture at every organization, institute, start up and corporate.
I strongly recommend this book for anybody who relates to these problems and to those who are looking to optimize the processes & strategy of their innovation activities.
The book is a clear guide on which activities should be carried out to arrive at a product & strategy that will have high probability of success. As the name of the book suggests, it is a playbook or call it a workbook which has a running example throughout. This example will not only help you learn the concepts, but will also expand your thought process and encourage you to apply the relevant concepts to your work & problems. What stood out for me the most is the fact that it talks about how to scale the innovation processes in your organization. Something that I have not encountered in many books.

It's clear a lot of time and care went into crafting this book — unlike other business books, every word has its purpose; every section is thoughtfully organized to give the reader multiple opportunities to learn the lesson (each section introduces the concepts and steps, asks the reader to put them to practice using their own business challenges, and solidifies the lesson with a real-world example); and the authors break down not only the steps needed to execute each phase but also the personnel, resources, and political support that will be needed to move things along and tips for doing it.
I've studied and practiced Design Thinking, started my own company, and helped launch and scale products at one of the most valuable tech startups. Through these experiences, I've had a lot of exposure to lean startup methodology and innovation hacks and best practices, but have never come across a resource like The Three-Box Solution Playbook, which for the first time lists out exactly what to do to innovate and how to do it for anyone willing to take the time to read and practice. I plan to reread this classic every few years, but expect I'll reference it way more often, whenever I'm facing disruptive change. If you're considering this book, I promise you that you won't regret buying and reading it. Good luck and I'm excited for what this book will do for you and your business!
