Just bought two copies one for me one for a gift . I have also recommended it to a friend . It's a fab book , it's well set out , easy to follow and fun to use . Great pictures to show end results. Love that it is only three ingredients and Some unexpected things in the recipies . Just made sour dough rolls , so easy and very nice to eat 😀
A nicely put together book, but I'm slightly disappointed that many of the recipes are things I already do, having created the same things myself. Quick breads with self raising flour and yoghurt, a lot of the sweets with condensed milk as a base. Some recipes are not that original, just a change of make such as Giraffe Buns are basically Cloud Bread etc. It's a shame there are not more savoury recipes too.
I've given it 4 stars as I can see the merit in it for new cooks, students or people that are put off experimenting with long lists in recipes. It might help get people into cooking, which is always a good thing.
I'm sure I will try a few things, but as a book I was eagerly awaiting after seeing it promoted, I feel a bit deflated. Had there been a look inside available, I doubt I would have bought it.
Great book with lots of easy recipes. Made the scones (with lemonade) and they are really yummy. Looking forward to trying out many more of these recipes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for simple, quick ideas.
I haven’t been through the whole book so can only comment on the recipes I used. The Brownies were a great success and I would definitely make them again! I made the ‘Fifteens’, very sweet but I have a sweet tooth, my friends loved them. My gripe with that recipe are on the quantities. 300g of Condensed milk, from a tin that holds 397g, so why didn’t the writer go with the tin quantity? I adjusted the dry goods to go with the tin! But that could have been done originally! I also tried the flapjack but after following instructions I couldn’t get it out of the tin! I’m looking forward to trying out other recipes!
Fab! Just buy it! White chocolate cheesecake using eggs, chocolate & cream cheese... Worked a treat. So many good things & a really good book to take away in the motorhome to make something quick & scrummy on a bad weather day.
