Just to add to the other reviews, this is a wonderful book, full of humour and warmth, which our 18 month old is fascinated by and we really enjoy too. You see new delightful details every time you look at it, the amount of thought that has gone into this is really impressive.

I wasn't too sure about the slightly naive drawing style to start with, but it's grown on me, and perhaps feels more accessible to children as it's reminiscent of a children's drawing.

With hindsight I wish we'd splashed out on the individual volumes for each season (I think these are only available in German, although as others have said, this doesn't matter as there is so little text) - it would have been nice to have them in board book format for greater durability. We have the 'Night time' volume in German/board book format and that works brilliantly. But this single volume (containing the four seasons) is excellent nevertheless.

It's been well worth the money - my 2 year loves it, it's easily his favourite book. In fact, it gets brought to me so often to 'read' (there aren't really any words, just lots of pictures to talk about) that I'm tempted to hide it to get a break!!

It kept my little one very interested and there are a lot of things to point at and talk about - great for developing vocabulary and keeping little ones entertained.

Especially if you are dealing with more than one language in your household: you can "read" (tell) the story in the language of your choice as the book has almost no words (except to introduce certain characters at the very beginning of each chapter). My kids and I always discover something different to focus on and you can follow different story lines as you go. This makes the reading exciting and different each time. The book came in great condition and was exactly as described, Highly recommended!
