'My daily challenge to myself is to be part of the solution, to be a joyful warrior in the battle for the soul of the country. My challenge to you is to join that effort.
Let's not throw up our hands when it's time to roll up our sleeves. Because years from now, this moment will have passed. And our children and our grandchildren will ask us where we were when the stakes were so high. They will ask us what it was like.
I don't just want us to tell them how we felt. I want us to tell them what we did.'
About the Author
Kamala D. Harris is the first woman and woman of colour to be elected vice president, a lifelong public safety and civil rights leader, who served until recently as a U.S. Senator from California. She began her career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, then was elected District Attorney of San Francisco. As California's Attorney General, she prosecuted transnational gangs, big banks, Big Oil, for-profit colleges and fought against attacks on the Affordable Care Act. Harris also fought to reduce elementary school truancy and pioneered the nation's first open data initiative to expose racial disparities in the criminal justice system and implemented implicit bias training for police officers.
The second black woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate, Kamala Harris has worked to reform the American criminal justice system, raise the minimum wage, make higher education tuition free for the majority of Americans, and protect the legal rights of refugees and immigrants.

Gosh this is one very smart lady!! And this book is a real eye-opener for the way it is in the USA right now. I love what she says and what she is trying to do and has tried to do to help the underbelly of the richest country in the world's underclass. And the divide between those who have and those who have not could not be more poignantly presented. In some ways, the book is a bit of bare truthed horror. In other ways, it offers hope from someone who cares deeply and who is now in a position of power and authority to at least try to change things.
There is every chance that she will succeed to the throne of power as America's first woman President and black at that, given Biden's health. Four years is a long stretch but, as we know, power does not really belong to POTUS. It rests with Congress whose eyes are not on the welfare of the people as much as they are on share prices and Wall Street.
This book tells it the way she sees it and has had to deal with it to become the most powerful woman in American politics. Read it. You'll be educated and amazed in equal measure. I certainly was.
What strikes me about Kamala is that she wants to make changes for a more equal and better society and she goes into depth explaining why. This is something that you sometimes don’t get from Politicians as to why they want to make those changes more how.
Kamala is incredibly smart, assertive and she knows her stuff. No-one can accuse her of just walking into the job for the sake of it.
She also strikes me as someone who genuinely cares for people, particularly women and children. Kamala has friends from when she was a child and that speaks volumes of her loyalty and commitment to you as an individual.
Really good read and I think America is now incredibly blessed to have someone like this as their Vice-President and I look forward to the many changes she will make.

the Vikings raides,
the African and Atlantic slavery againstthe African people,
western Europeans' imperialism and colonialism wars of Africa and other parts of the world,
The America war of independence and civil wars.
Etc, etc; therefore, pointing a finger of blame by calling others "adversaries or "enemies" with such historical facts is foreboding; especially when african Americans are still today struggling to be elected to the positions of seniority as vice president or presidents of America; even today since the commencement and commercialisation of the African and Atlantic slavery that took place 700 years ago and over two hundred years ago when it was abolished by Abraham Lincoln during the American civil war.
On the other hand, Kamala Harris' reasoning and thinking have a deep sense of socialism and solidarity for other people and on how we should all work together to improve the lives of other people; this should be emulated not only within our own societies and countries and within so called "alliances" but it should apply to all so that mutual respect and acceptance and tolerance is created as no one desires to be oppressed nor disrespected -- 700 years, we still can't breathe and fighting against injustices and racism while some are allowedto go out on the streets to demonstrate that they hate other peopleor religious denominations and we at the same time want to come acrossas "democratic" and "free"; therefore,
respect and tolerate is paramount and discipline is crucial in maintaining world peace and prosperity-- whether that is on the basis of having a different skin colour or whether just because God blessed someone's country with gold, diamonds or oil or whether God blessed someone or a nation with a heart that wants to work and respect other people and societies and nations by working with them to helping them out of economical enslavement and oppression.
It wouldn't therefore make any sense for any possible Russia cyber hackers to hack in order to help the Republicans to win a USA election. For any outsider, it wouldn't make any sense at all. And it doesn't even tell whether other nations have also received or experienced similar cyberattacks from the United States of America or not or have hadto endure "regime" changes atrocities. Just to put forward and point a finger of blame is not good enough because there are diplomatic means to resolve such problems.
