The ending is almost exactly the same as Turkey Trouble. I can't fathom why the author didn't vary it at least a little.

Halloween Turkey is the best, just FYI
Reviewed in the United States on 22 December 2020Verified Purchase
Of the three turkey trouble books we have; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is probably my least favorite. It follows the same theme as Thanksgiving where turkey is trying to avoid becoming Christmas dinner. Let’s cut to the chase and the ending is also very similar to The Thanksgiving story. Since turkey is the iconic Thanksgiving food, the food theme works best for theThanksgiving book. The Halloween story is super cute and thematic to Halloween, aka trying to get candy! So even though turkey dresses in Christmas costumes, I wish the overall story wasn’t about him being food again. But you know, my daughter loves the turkey books and overall it still a fun read so we had to have them all.
