About the Author
Lemony Snicket is the pseudonym of Daniel Handler. He has written several children's books and has used his pseudonym as the name of a character in his books. The Basic Eight was the first book written by him, after which he wrote several others like Watch Your Mouth, Adverbs and Why We Broke Up. He was chosen as the judge in the Phyllis Naylor Working Writer Fellowship in 2012 and has won the Michael L Printz Honor Award in 2012.

If like me, you’re a fan of the TV show, I would suggest you give the books a miss and wait for the next series, as there has been a lot of embelushment added to make the stories more interesting.
The set contains all thirteen of the Series of Unfotunate Events and they are amongst the most attractive Kindle books I've seen with many of the little features that make the paper books look so great. I read the first few books as an adult and we have them in harcover but this is a really good value way of completing your set. I really enjoyed the books as an adult, I couldn't resist reading them through, it's a great way of plugging any gaps in your collection and having the books in a very portable way. I'm quite tempted to buy the hardcover set if my son enjoys these books as I'd love to have paper copies of the books too.
