This is my first book by MV Kasi. The author's book was been recommended for a very long time and I overlooked the author's work as I was fond of reading romance books by foreign authors. And yeah I regret it, not for reading foreign authors' books but for overlooking MV Kasi. Recently I downloaded this book through Kindle Unlimited and I was blown away by the prefect retelling of the Beauty and the Beast. I'm a great fan of B&B and I have watched and read the various versions of the story as movie and books. But this one felt so real. Just a day before I read a retelling of the same but Until You made my eyes well up with tears and at some parts tightened my heart. Maybe I could have felt it this way as the names characters were Indian that made me connect more characters.

Over all I love the story. It has every aspect of the Grimm's Fairy version: a curse, that turned a man into beast, a beauty's entry into his life, their undying beyond appearance. Only the Beast doesn't lie on his deathbed when the beauty is away from him. Instead he fights his way back to win her back.

Holy god. Wow! The modern version of Beauty and the Beast you can say...or retelling of it. The story is super hot and of course i enjoyed it.

The plot is not just hot and steamy but there is actually a story in it!! I mean i have read all of those popular + genre but very few had actuall plot with the other things*.

I liked the characters. They are not one dimensional but have emotions too. You can connect to them.

Overall i liked the book.

A hero with a dark side and a heroine with strong will....and their story of happily ever after....extremely impressive work from the author...Fairy tales always fascinated me since I was a little girl...and this book was similar to the plot of 'the beauty and the beast'...I just loved how the author narrated it similar to the fairy tale....and what poked my attention was the way Tina asks Dhanush to forgive himself...I mean the reason she gives is deeply meaningful and worth considering....I so want to share it but no I am not giving any spoilers..😁
Must read...go grab it!

I rate the book at three stars. I have been an avid reader of fiction especially in romance genre. While the book is an interesting take on the famous children's story, there are a few things that stand out as odd. The first half of the book is devoted to the character development of the heroine. In this half, though situationally she is forced to live with, tolerate and engage with the ruthless, brooding and silent hero, the plot doesn't give the readers enough meet for her to hold on to the arrangement. We would hav preferred if the heroine would have seen, heard or experienced something more to hold on to the "goodness within" idea for the hero. Other than his interaction with the housekeepers and his sister's, there is nothing to entrust her with the fact that he is deeply a good person beneath a hard exterior. Second half of the story was great where the hero took the initiative to finally shed his inhibitions and pursue the heroine. All in all, worth a read.

I liked the narration style of the author. As mentioned in the blurb, story is truly hot, passionate and captivating. Language of the book is lucid. It took me time to enter in the story but it was worth waiting. It’s more or less light read. I liked how author has so simply highlighted certain social issues like alcoholism, struggles for middle class and lower socioeconomic class. And written in such a way that beginners can also easily read and enjoy. Overall good one. I enjoyed reading it.
