Both Avery and Cameron are strong endearing characters, but not without their weaknesses and their journey captivated me. There simply aren't enough adjectives to describe Cam; with every chapter I fell a little bit more in love with him. Avery has barriers around herself; because of this she could be frustrating at times but Cam brings out the best in her and whilst I thought I had her secret sussed, I was only half right and my heart absolutely went out to her. Their friends were also great characters, generating many of the lighter humorous moments exactly when it needed it.
Jennifer Armentrout/J. Lynn has written a great book that generated many emotions; it made me laugh, it frustrated me, saddened me and had moments that pulled on the heartstrings combined with those that were truly heartwarming. It also held a few unexpected surprises as the story progressed making for a read that I couldn't put down. Whilst there were a couple of tiny grammatical errors, it doesn't by any means detract from a superb book. Wait For You is certainly one that I will read again and can recommend.
Ok, I've slept and ready to get this off my chest!
I know when a romance has grabbed me when I'm reading huge portions of the book with a goofy grin on my face! The interaction between Cam and Avery was so cute and Cam really made me laugh sometimes with his comments, and his self assuredness. He was fantastic, a little bit too good to be true but hey it wouldn't be much worth reading romance if the heroes weren't desirable, right?
I loved all the wooing, I loved how Cam treated her so gently but always with respect and tenderness. I could keep gushing!
Avery was at times frustrating but I did understand her attitude and until the bracelet incident I think she handled Cam with integrity. Yes I'm sure she gave mixed signals but he knew what was going on. It was so obvious he knew all along which makes it all the more special that he did wait for her.
This was a pretty emotional book at times. I'm on record as saying that I think a certain topic is rather overused in New Adult books and this book hasn't changed my mind on that. I do feel it was well dealt with in this case though and the focus was on Avery making a life and learning to trust and to love. Ultimately this was a love story and it was beautiful.
As I've said, I read this in 6 hours straight, so I think that has to be an endorsement of how well the book flowed and the writing style grabbed me. The characters were so beautifully written. It did feel like it dragged at times, I wanted them to get on with it already, but well I was tired and as you can see I didn't mark it down.
In summary, a great book for that emotional ride and for gushing over a beautiful romance!
I loved Avery and her character was so strong even though that is not what she would have you believe. She was not a typical whiney or inconsistent girl that you wanted to shake she was someone who was finding independance and strength whilst dealing with things that none of us would want to deal with.
Then their is Cam... WOW WOW WEA!!!! He is totally amazing and I loved him almost instantly! He is beautiful and gorgues but even more amzingly he is caring, thoughtfull and funny as hell!! *sigh* he is the stuff dreams are made of!!
Their were some great characters in this book as well as the main two that totally made the story and it just would not have been the same without, Jacob and Britt are just awesome and as for Raphiel, well there always has to be a turtle surely!! lol!! :)
As always with a great romantic novel there are some great twists and turns that just keep you hooked and turning pages, but not winding you up so much so that you want to chuck your iPad against a wall or scream at anyone inparticular. The frutrations in this book and valid and deserved but are not from silly situations that could have been avoided.
This book covers family in all the ways it can be from loving to downright neglect and it shows you that life does go on if you just decide to live it!
I really loved this book and the story was so well written that it immediatly became one of my favourites and I have no doubt that I will be reading it again.
This story and the relationship between Avery and Cam unfolded slowly. At a great pace. Nothing was rushed, which ultimately is what makes this book so awesome. This is the first time I have read anything by Lynn/Armentrout but if her other books are this well written it's safe to say that it wont be my last.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for the eARC. This is definitely a book I need on my paperback shelf.
