Mahi was a bold, mischievous and high-spirited person in her college times. But some events in her life changed everything for her, she lost her confidence. Before she lost herself, she took a stand for herself and eventually overcame the biggest obstacle of her life. She was figuring out a way to start her life fresh. But first, she had to complete her promise made to her best friend when they were in college. She had to attend her wedding, but there was one more promise that she was hesitant to complete. She decided to return to her hometown to attend the wedding and maybe eventually start her new life there.

Mahi was happy and overwhelmed being with her best friend after so long. But with her best friend also came her brother, Samrat, and she didn’t know what to feel about him. Samrat was the perfect eligible man; anyone would be more than willing to marry him. She was scared for her heart. But she knew she had to complete her promise, especially if it was reminded as a challenge to her, and she would never back away from a challenge.
“Yes, I’m going to keep my other promise too. I’m going to make Samrat dance.”
Mahi and Samrat were both ready for a challenge and complete the promise. It also meant they were excited to spend time with each other. And that was the real challenge, as there were lots of sparks of attraction between them. But, Mahi had a long way to go before she could completely defeat her ugly past, and even after that, she was not sure if she would be eligible to be someone’s or rather Samrat’s better half. However, Mahi was unaware of Samrat’s intentions towards her.

I have read ‘That same old love’ by MV Kasi, and I am in love with that book. I was intrigued by the same names and was eager to know what this book has to offer. This is the story of Mahi and Samrat in the parallel universe where their history with each other is not messed up. I liked reading this book. Despite knowing some parts of the book already, the story was so intriguing that it kept my interest till the end. The simple two promises made a long time ago changed Mahi’s life for good and gave her the new beginning of her life full of love and happiness. I enjoyed this journey of Mahi and Samrat, the ride was mesmerizing.
I will recommend this book to every reader who likes to read a nice story of love and romance.
