This is not really what I expected from an Eric Carle book. I didn't return it but wish I had now as it's never read😕
It's really beautiful to look at with stunning drawings but it isn't a story at all. It's basically a favourite food per page chosen by someone with mostly not very interesting sentences to go with the drawings.
There's no coherence to the style of writing and it has no flow.
We love Eric Carle but didn't love this book at all.
