The language of the book is easy enough and it serves the purpose pretty well. The stories were more or less neat. The issues that were chosen and talked about were relevant and useful. The amalgam of fiction with non-fiction was successful to an extent. The summing up part was written very well and I think that was the main highlight of the book.
However, I felt some of the words were used so many times that it became boring after a point. Also, the writing style was not something I would appreciate. I was getting lost many times.
This book gives a new approach to the self-help genre and I will look forward to more books from the author.
I felt like some phrases were repeating too often which got annoying after sometime.
Overall a good self help book with a new approach would really look forward to more like this.
🌸There is a preface too in which he's given the definition of millennials, which one must read as the following chapters deal with the challenges millennials face in day to day life.
🌸In each chapter there are topics discussed like, judgement from others, handlind critisism, celebrating failure, and the hottest topic of the century: love and relationship-from heartache to headache.
🌸Each chapter starts with a story in which the author is a narrator and there are characters around him through whom he makes the topic of the chapter very easy to understand and ends with the author helping the reader by summarising the takeaway points.
🌸The language is very lucid in nature, stories are short and interesting, which keeps you glued to the book.
🌸The book is a must have for all the millenials out there, also if you're not a millenial it'd be of help. The author has done a commendable job for a debut novel.
🌸You could refer the book everytime you face any of the challenges described in the chapters. Best part is, the chapters are independent and won't take more than 30 mins max to read about your concerned chapter
It all starts with the author witnessing a Lady in her Mid twenties, Anurbha trying to commit suicide due to a love story gone wrong with the ex boyfriend. Is that a reason to give up a life which is so precious?
The book then moves forward to short stories which the millennial or the main person of the story is going through and emotional turbulence and the author explains after each chapter how to overcome them.
I particularly liked how the author has written a chapter on handling criticism constructively. Criticism is bound to affect everyone, it about how handles them is the answer to the final outcome. The Millennial generation do get a lot more criticism than most other generations.
So all the chapters are about emotional turbulence of Millennials in every sphere of their lives, be it finance, career, relation, family etc
I absolutely loved the book style of writing, simple yet very interesting.
