I loved the setting of NYC it’s always a great backdrop to a story.
Aidan is a quirky, caring character who sees the best in people and gives people a second chance.
Stella is a woman looking for a new life and needs to prove herself and give herself the chance of a good life.
I liked the theme of not writing off those who may have made mistakes in their lives.
There is spicy scenes but steamy rather than spicy.
A bit of a Xmas, feel good book with themes that are not really included in many romance books.

Oh I do adore Tessa Bailey. And yes this might be a Christmas book but I had to read it now. The cover is beautiful and it's a nice short read at 250 pages.

This book follows Stella and Aiden, is dual perspective and grumpy/sunshine but not your usual trope where the guy is the grump; Stella is the grump in this instead and I LOVED that.

For such a small book there was a decent amount of hot smutty smut. And it's always that much hotter when it's boss and employee right?

Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed this book, it just felt unfinished to me. And not in a cute cliffhanger way. It was so rushed and definitely could have been less instalove/instalust if it had been a little longer. The Nicole storyline was barely even there.

Not my favourite Tessa Bailey but definitely won't be my last.

My friend gave me this book in the summer and I'm glad I held off until now to read it because it's another great book in my festive arsenal.

There is so much good stuff happening here. - he fell first, boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, Tessa bailey spice for days!

I absolutely loved Stella, she's spikey, a little tough and a bit sarcastic. So when she meets the bow tie wearing festive golden retriever that is Aiden it is safe to say that they aren't exactly a match made in heaven in her eyes.

Aiden is a positive, sunny, Southern Gentleman. But he's out to prove to Stella that he's a hidden bad boy too ….This becomes all the more difficult when Aiden ends up Stellas boss when he give her, her dream job as a window dresser in his store on 5th Avenue

I loved the growth from Stella and Aiden. Stella especially finding her feet after being in prison for 4 years and figuring out who she wants to be now I really enjoyed.

Although there are no cute snowball fights or baking of gingerbread men, this screams festive read to me…..I mean it's set in a 5th avenue department store in December - that's my kind of Christmas jam.

I did really enjoy this book. It gave me all the Christmassy feels.

It’s very insta-love/love which can be a bit hot or miss. But for a shorter book it had to be that way. I enjoyed the reverse grumpy x sunshine trope. Stella was a proper grump but I did love her.
Auden was such a sweetie, and man oh man, the way he changed in the bedroom was so damn hot.

I definitely recommend it’s such an easy read.
