Dayanita Thakore, the Princess of Udaipur, is 26 year old. She is fiesty, bold, independent, a bit arrogant and rude but good at heart.
Prince Harshvardhan Singh Gaekwad is the Prince of Baroda. He is a 29 year old handsome, charming, intelligent and sweet gentleman. He is also a popular Bollywood film-star who is passionate and driven by his career.
Harshvardhan and Dayanita's first meeting was cute and hilarious in 'Exchange LA', a club in Los Angeles. Soon, they meet again and again. Harshvardhan falls in love at first sight and tries to woo Dayanita while she tries to fight her attraction towards him.
The insta love felt superficial at first but later I loved their romance.
The push-pull, bickering and angst was adorable and hot. It was sweet yet fiery and totally the type that gives you feels in your belly. Though, at times it became too cheesy for me.
I liked how their relationship developed but not how they had communication issues, especially Dayanita.
I found her character was the most interesting. At first, she threw tantrums and behaved like a childish, spoiled princess. But I loved her later ! Especially in the ending where the role were reversed and Dayanita swooped in like a knight in shining armour (
or silk saree, in this case) to save Harshvardhan.
Other characters like Dayanita's royal family, the director and Harshvardhan's sister were fabulous!
Narration was apt and flowy. I loved the mixed setting of royal household and bollywood life.
Overall, a good romance novel that I totally recommend !
Prince Harshvardhan Singh Gaekwad is the prince of Baroda who is handsome dashing smart good looking & a gentleman. He is a bollywood film star & in Los Angeles to give a lecture in Dayanita's College.
Both of them met each other in a club in LA. There is a candle of love enlightened within themselves in their first meeting. But Dayanita tried to ignore that feeling.
But ultimately the magic of love just swept away all the distances within them & a beautiful bud of love blossomed with in them.
But there life took a turn when destiny showed it's real colour.
To know more about this grab the book & give it a try.
A beautifully designed cover with a bit royal touch to attract the readers.Writing style of the book is magnificent. It's written in a bit touch of contemporary style but putting the royal emperor its legacy & grave in the writing. Each word is connecting that helped the storyline moving forward in a smooth & crisp manner.Language is very much familiar to our day to day life. But the unique thing which stand out in the book is the way author maintained the emotion of the book. It's just apt to read. The narration of the book is just like a roller coaster ride of experience. You will thoroughly enjoyed the book with so many ups n downs that makes it an absolute page turner. All characters are nicely developed with equal significance to make the book more interesting to read.Moderately paced book.In some parts the the narration is so much descriptive that it just broke the reading pace. It's the third part of the series. So you will feel a void while reading it in some parts.
I have a special spot for Sundari Venkatraman mam books. I have said it before, and I stand by it. The author has crafted an immersive work of fiction. The narration is smooth which will take you to the plot filled with ups and downs, self-analysis, easy conversations and realistic romantic outcomes. Both, the protagonists are well penned down to show every dimension, and the psychological and emotional exploration of how they fit together in their personalities. I appreciate how smoothly a sensitive topic #metoo is handled in between the line. This is the beauty of Author’s work she always incorporate some social issues in her fictional reads.
Overall, this is a read or series undoubtedly I recommend.
So Dayanita grows up like this and only opens up her mind to be relevant to this age when her brother forces her to see reality. She then studies a degree and pursues a script writing course in LA. This is where she meets Prince Harshvardhan Singh Gaekwad of Baroda. He is a famous Bollywood star and is in LA to give a lecture in Dayanita college. They met and sparks fly. And I think they fall in love quite easily.
The constant bickering between the two leads is like a Bollywood romance I guess. If you are fan of the enemies to lovers trope then I guarantee that this one is for you. In the end both of them matured a bit, they were one too good to be true couple. This book was good. Superb language and a well thought out background for the story. Maybe I just expected more as I have read other works by the author. An OK one-time and one-day read.
