Players should always use the shuttlecocks best suited to the playing environment. The hardness of the skirt – the feather part of the nylon shuttlecock – varies depending on temperature. In the cold, as the skirt becomes hard, it is prone to breaking. In the hot, the skirt becomes softer and less likely to break, but the feel at impact is affected by the softer skirt.
YONEX manages product quality by categorizing MAVIs into 3 temperatures. Please ensure that you choose the shuttlecock best suited to the playing environment.
Shuttlecocks should be stored away from high temperatures and the tube kept upright with the cork side of the shuttlecock facing down.
The WING RIB design utilizes air flow through the shuttlecock to restore shape quickly on impact. Based on flight dynamics, this original design grants stable flight, contrary to conventional models that restore shape via stiff construction.

I play badminton twice a week for 3 hours using just 1 or 2 of them. Some might say that they are not as durable as the Mavis 300 or 350, but the Mavis 2000 was never built with prolonged durability in mind. I'll explain why they're the best and why an Intermediate or a Semi-Pro level player should choose to play with these.
Firstly, Yonex Manufactures different Mavis Shuttlecocks.
Yonex Mavis Shuttlecocks have different Versions, starting from the Mavis 10 to 2000.
The Different Versions I've seen and played with are: Mavis 10, Mavis 70, Mavis 300, Mavis 350, Mavis 370, Mavis 500, Mavis 2000.
Apart from the Shuttlecock Colours (White, Fluorescent Yellow) and the Different speed ribbons (Green, Red and Blue) there's really a lot that needs to be understood before buying a shuttle.
The logic behind Different Versions of Mavis Shuttlecocks is quite simple!!
Yonex named and priced their nylon shuttles based on how close they come to mimicking the flight of the more costly shuttles made from goose-feathers, that are used by most Pro-Level players of the sport.
So.. Mavis 10 < Mavis 300 < Mavis 350 < Mavis 370 < Mavis 500 < Mavis 2000.
Meaning, Mavis 10 would be the most Durable Shuttlecock and can be used for Beginners indoors or outdoors but cannot be used by intermediate or semi-pro Players.
On the other hand though,
Mavis 2000 was made in view to mimicking the flight pattern, weight and other characteristics of the Goose Feather Shuttlecock.
So an Intermediate or a Semi-Pro level player would practice/play with these.
However, a Professional player would still choose a Feather Shuttlecock for playing as there is STILL a difference between the Feel and Effectiveness of a Feather Shuttlecock and a Nylon Shuttlecock.
Feather Shuttlecock Series by Yonex: Aerosensa 2, Aerosensa 10, Aerosensa 20, Aerosensa 30,
Aerosensa 40, Aerosensa 50.
Aerosensa 50 Shuttlecocks are the ones used in International and National Level tournaments.
I have used these and still do. I put this review up to help people who are new to this sport and want to get better at Badminton.
P.S. Doesn't mean that if you're you're an experienced player, this won't be helpful. ;D

Was confused whether to go for 500 or 2000, saw a few videos which suggested the 500 to be more durable but 2000 hvin better flight
Eventually as d price difference was hardly 2-300 n as I wanted a good upgrade anyway, decided to tk d plunge for d 2000s
I'm not disappointed with my purchase at all, you hv to see d flight to believe it, it's a joy to watch!
The shuttle feels v nice on d racquet too, it feels light n d flight is very predictable
N did I say beautiful :)
Caveat: The shuttle flight is different from 300s n other cheaper shuttles n slower, not everyone will appreciate it, some of my team mates didn't
I loved it!
p.s. I bought d white ones n ws worried abt visibility in white lights, turns out no need to worry :)
p.p.s. Been using this over a month now, n we haven't finished the box yet despite crazy hitting by some of my friends
It's true the skirt tears really quickly but it's also true that the shuttle NVR loses trajectory even aft that n is js as good to play
At worst it becomes a little slower, but that's even better for gripping games :)
I am a low-intermediate player and I have a decent experience of feather and nylon shuttles. For me, A mavis350 shuttle doesn't last more than 2 hours of crazy, rough doubles play before it starts to deviate from its optimum performance. However, my recent experience with Mavis 2000 is quite remarkable. After 2hours of continuous shuttle abuse, the shuttle is still perfectly intact and it just suffered minor damages (pls check the picture). The next day we have tried to subject the same shuttle for an extra hour of torture and this time the shuttle started tearing. However, to our surprise, apart from a slight variation in speed the performance of the shuttle very good even after using for nearly 3hours. we have played further for a few more games to check how far it goes and it really did a very good job with it considerable performance (pls check the picture).
mavis 2000 pros&cons:-
2)Better Flight Patterns
3)Better Shuttle recovery time
cons: costlier (slightly)
for optimum performance, a typical Mavis 350 shuttle can be used for approximately 2hours (6-7 games) later it can be used as a practice shuttle. Whereas, Mavis 2000 can be used for around 3hours (8-9 games). When it comes to the comparison with feather shuttle, the performance of Mavis 2000 is a bit better than Mavis 350, but can't expect complete feather-like performance.
Mavis 2000 is worth trying and if you have played with feathers you will definitely prefer it over Mavis 350.
