There is a serial number on the handle cone, just above where the grip begins, you can verify the product on APACS website as well. Also, there was a hologram on the handle end, this made sure that the product was original

Though they mentioned 38, but if put more than 28 your bat life will reduce. With higher tension even small clash with patner bat will result in bat breaking. More the tension less the sweet spot unless u r purely profesional player. 22 for beginers, max 26 for ntermediate players prefered.
