Amazon.in creates opportunities for more than 7500 seasonal associates for the Great Indian Sale
Seasonal positions will be available at Amazon’s 27 Fulfilment Centres, over 100 Delivery Stations and close to 15 Sort Centres across the country
Bengaluru, January 16, 2016: Amazon.in today announced that it has opened more than 7,500 seasonal roles for its upcoming Great Indian Sale. These roles will be available at Amazon’s 27 Fulfilment Centres, over 100 Delivery Stations and close to 15 Sort Centres across the country.

Throughout the year, Amazon.in generates thousands of seasonal job opportunities, as well as opportunities for long term career development. Recruitment for seasonal roles is now underway and will be trained for the upcoming sale.
Amazon’s pioneering programs such as Fulfilment by Amazon, Easy Ship, Seller Flex, Service Partner Network and I Have Space have catalysed the growth of Amazon.in in the country. The company invested in 6 new Fulfilment Centres (FCs) last year, taking the total number of operational FCs to 27 in 10 Indian states, offering a storage capacity of 7.5 million cubic. This is the largest warehouse infrastructure for sellers in the e-commerce industry across India. This infrastructure built up has helped thousands of sellers reach millions of new customers across the country and has enabled Amazon.in to offer faster and quicker delivery of products to more pin codes.
Furthermore, over 100 Amazon delivery stations have been set up across the country to support last mile delivery programs that allow the company to deliver orders efficiently across the country. Their Service Partner Network has swelled to cover close to 250 stations enabling seamless management of last-mile deliveries across the country.
In September last year, Amazon.in also announced the expansion of their delivery network with the addition of over 10,000 stores under their I Have Space program, taking the total number to 12,500 stores. The expansion enables Amazon.in to efficiently manage deliveries across 22 states & union territories. They also have Rural Distribution Centres wherein they work with NGOs to train people in rural areas in route planning and making deliveries.
