This small book is quite fun to read. Flanked with accurate illustrations with some fun writing and diverse animal characters, this story is a delight.

Part of a series, the story deals with how these different wild animals live together in a secluded area in the city and devise ways and means to survive each day. The only rule they have to follow is not to eat each other but respect and help each other to not let human discover their hideout.

Most of these animals have been in the zoo; some lost and some just do not have anywhere to go to.

On one such days of searching for food in a restaurant, the animals get discovered by one of the most ruthless zoo managers and they had to escape him in ways only god knows how! That's something adventurous to read. And damn dangerous too!

The later part also deals with identity. Some of the animals go to a museum to understand some of their members and it's such a fun one as well as to how they interpret things there!

I would say the human characters are quite unlikeable. Spoiled kids, a helpless and a hopeless father trying to kill animals for their fur and yes, some strong words have been used.

A fun read for most part, this is one such story making us accept the differences in each of us and what family truly means.
