This is my first take on the writings by Christopher Doyle. The author manages to grip the reader from the very onset, with a dramatic start until the nagas are vanquished in a fight before they enter the Gurukul. The plot blends in Indian Mythology, history and fantasy into a high octane concotion. The author has done a substantial research which is duly acknowledged at the end, along with portions of plot that is purely fantasy and imaginative. Many of the international readers may not be able to comprehend the references to Indian Mythology. A fast paced reading about a prophecy, a powerful villian and two young protagonist who are shouldered the responsibility to protect mankind. Glad to see a lot of Indian authors writing thrillers based on Indian history and mythology. Very good read for mystery lovers and will soon begin to read the sequel 'The Mist of Brahma'.
