The book is basically about communism and is a satirical comedy on it. It goes on to show how power can poison people’s mind and those at the helm can never be a real communist themselves. The communism slowly turns into capitalism and dictatorship in the book. It is an interesting read if you know about Russian revolution with which you could easily compare the characters. Even if you don’t know about it, it is a good read. But I did not understand why people consider it a classic. I guess may be because it was a satire on Russia, people in west liked it so much and read it so much that it is now considered as a classic. It is good but not great.
