The first entry in the series was quite compelling a read sprinkled with tough humour. The best part was that Maureen manages to connect two timelines seamlessly into a grounded and realistic story and solid descriptions. I liked the quirky lead protagonist (EXCEPT that 'dash of romance' I'm so disappointed there). The second entry was perhaps a shade better. The third was a little repetitive but the storyline was brilliant. It was a good read overall. As for the delivery, the books came in mint condition, right on time.
