My Labrador started limping when he was one year old. I immediately took him to the vet. He explained that initial years are important for bone development and it is extremely important to provide calcium in any form. I started giving him this and it worked miraculously. It's been an year and now I don't take chances and still give him this twice a week. Although a little piece of advice, calcium supplements generally affect hunger in negative ways. So, I always give him just after he has finished his meal.
