UPDATE: Washing and drying the mattress protector is becoming a lot of pain, so I am using a spray bottle filled with 1:10 vinegar to water and spraying it only on areas that look a little dirty. To dry the spot I use paper towels and then a hair dryer on cool setting. Works ok, not great but at least saves the effort of washing the whole thing.
Original review- Overall the mattress protector is good. I've been using it for 2 months now and washed it once. The water resistance is good to an extent that you are not planning to lay on that side right away. The top fabric (microfiber?) gets wet but doesn't allow the liquid to pass into the mattress, which of course, is its Primary function. I purchased the maroon color as other people suggested difficulties in washing the white ones. Price could be a little lower around 800-900. It might be easy to clean but certainly not that easy to dry! Do NOT dry it out in the sun. Dry under shade with it across a large space as the waterproof layer underneath could get stretched if hung on a smaller area of the clothesline. There is a little color bleeding on first wash.
