The package containing the Oil Can was well packed. Verified the date of manufacture and was of 06/2019 and the batch number from Shell Care and they claimed the product is original.

Previously, I used Shell HX7 10W40 and it improved the performance of engine and made it a little better. MSIL generally use stock mineral oil which ain't for performance. Moreover, I got to know that my cousin had been using Castrol 5W30 synthetic engine oil in his Alto 800 but it seemed he didn't like it. He swapped to Shell again and now he is crazy. Engine oil grades are not backward compatibles. If your manual suggests 5W30 API SM, then you can surely use any grade that comes after SM like SN or SN Plus but not lesser like SL.

I bought this item from RDG Enterprise Ltd. as it was the one who brought this oil first on Amazon listing (as per my opinion). The price at time of my purchase was ₹1349 which was bang for buck. I enquired about the SN version of this product at local shops and it was like, way more costlier than this updated version. So you can definitely buy this. And ya, you may not get 'Shell Mechanic Samriddhi Coupon' due to the cost cutting reason that the sellers do to get margin after reducing the selling price of the products.

Update: this oil is thinner than previously used one. Initial starts had no hiccups and from the first morining start of engine, I felt the sound of engine to be smoother than the 10W40 one.
I didn't feel any change in torque, that is no change in pickup or anything such. No heating issues, but the oil becomes brown very soon after I started to use it. Even my mechanic said it's a good choice.
Thank You
