Though the book covers all the related stuff but it didn't cover few important topics. Forcunstance, there are no chapters related to poverty, unemployment though there are much needed for any aspirant, the book lacking it. The chapter on Women has not covered the discussion on Women at workplace and the related act enacted in 2013, vishaka guidelines. Female infanticide is not covered. And to be precise it actually covered various other issues that we didn't find in Ram Ahujas Social problems in india. The incorporation of the missing topics in it's second addition will make the book perfectly suit to the needs for Civil service aspirant.

Overall the book is good and being a Muslim author, the reader may feel he is taking the Muslim side when dealing with religion related concepts but for critical analysis we need his points and he didn't take altogether a pro Muslim agenda,he supported and gave some valuable points to be noted in supporting Uniform Civil Code concept.
