Title: Nobody Likes An Outsider
Author: Fawaz Jaleel

Review:

“Nobody likes an Outsider” by Fawaz Jaleel is a fictional crime thriller very much close to the reality. Set in the Indian state of Bihar, the book brings out the harsh realities of modern day India. It talks about the rotting Indian society and political system.

The story begins with the death of a promising, Independent, outsider and popular leader Ashraf Zain in a road accident. Ashraf’s tragic death causes furore in the state and both ruling party and opposition blame each other for his death. This trading of charges forces the state to handle the case to CBI. To investigate the case a young CBI team led by Yohan Tytler is dispatched to Bihar. Even before the team begins its investigation, the state is shook by the murder of Ashraf Zain's PA Piyali Sharma under mysterious circumstances. As the investigation proceeds, they start unravelling shocking truths about the murders. Will they be able to crack this high-profile double case?

With very intriguing plot and characters, Author Fawaz Jaleel has weaved an edge of the seat thriller. The book not only dishes out an entertaining story but also throws light on some of the crucial issues of India politics. Overall, it’s a promising book with lots of nuances, won’t be surprised if it is adapted into web series or movie. Highly Recommended!
